Good food. Decent price

They over cook burgers asked for medium rare. Had to ask for chips that should have came with the burger. Got a very well done burger. Service was ok. First time there and probably the last.

The hash and omlet were very good. The chocolate chip pancake we ordered for my son had a cute face made of chips, but no others in it.

Great diner with prices to feel great about. My only was perfect. Toast was just right and the corned beef hash was amazing.

Visited for the first time today and the food was delicious. The prices are cheap as well and the service was spot on. Couldn't ask for anything better than that.

They dont know what a medium rare burger is. They only know very well done. Had wait for the chips that come with the burger and waited a while to get them. Asked for a refill on my drink never got it. Servers never came to make sure food was ok. First time there and the last time.

First time here. Food was pretty good. Service...not so much. They were friendly, for sure. But... I was never offered a coffee refill. I asked for a glass of milk when food arrived and watched her as she chatted with a "family friend", chatted and joked with other staff, and never brought the milk until about 7 minutes later when I had to ask again. Finally, a side order we asked for simply never arrived. They need to step up their game on service.

Have lived nearby and dined in every diner/restaurant at or around the Cortland area throughout my whole life many times, AJ's has been under new ownership since April and both my fiance and I both agree their breakfast is extremely tasty and very fairly priced. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Very disappointed in AJ's Family Diner. Used to be the best diner in Cortland hands down, however ever since the new owners took over, it has really changed. The food is not good compared to before, and they got rid of all of their long-time employees. Would do anything to have the old AJ's back....

Homey, old-fashioned diner feel. Very friendly staff and solid food for a great value.

They're service: personal, informative, and patient. They're location: comfortable, inclusive, various. The food surpasses average dinner quality in Cortland, they have these pepper n onion hashbrowns that make so much sense. Also the blueberry waffles are so good, much better than those at Frank n Marys. We went close to closing time and they did not rush us at all. Lovely people, lovely establishment.

Hands down amazing diner food with GREAT prices. It's a little cold in the back in the winter but the hot coffee and delicious food warms you right up. Try it, you wont regret it!

Everyone is so friendly here. The portions are large and the prices are low. Also one one the only " Diners" I've ever seen have flavored coffee creamers.Yum!

First time ever!!! Very pleasant people from the greeter to the cook. Yes, the cook came to our table, asked how was everything and if she could get us anything. Love this hometown diner and if ever in the area, will definitely bless them with our presence once again. Oh the price for 2 adults and 2 growing teens...$28 extremely reasonable. There was much groaning because they over ate. If anyone goes away hungry, it is your own fault.😉

We stopped in . A new owner has taken over. Looks like they are trying hard to do a great job. The home fries need some work and the bacon could use a little help. But I am sure in time they will get it right. Good luck on your new adventure..
